Welcome! I am an Assistant Professor in the Sociology and Archaeology Department at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. I earned my Ph.D. in sociology at Loyola University Chicago, where I successfully defended my dissertation, “Teachers’ Perspectives on Race and Gender: Strategic Intersectionality and the Countervailing Effects of Privilege,” with distinction in April 2011. As a doctoral student at Loyola, I also earned a Graduate Concentration in Women’s and Gender Studies and successfully completed the Teaching Effectiveness Seminar. Before attending Loyola, I earned my M.A. in sociology as well as my B.A. in sociology from the University of Memphis - go Tigers!
